Like our dogs, we put our heart into everything we do. And that starts with the quality of care and training we give our dogs. FurReal Heroes intends to use dogs both from breeders, as well as shelters.
We start by observing their behaviors and activities. We learn what they like and what they’re good at, so we know where to focus our training. In essence, we let our dogs choose their own areas of specialty, so they’re working on things they naturally enjoy and are happier and better suited to the clients we eventually place them with.
We also make the health and wellness of our dogs a constant priority. We know that healthy, happy dogs are able to learn and retain skills more easily, which contributes to a more rewarding experience and better outcomes for everyone. As trainers, we make sure we provide a supportive, caring environment that helps our dogs thrive physically, emotionally and mentally.
Our goal is to give our dogs the absolute best life possible because the work they do changes lives. We’ve seen first-hand the dramatic impact that our dogs can have on individuals with disabilities, and our goal is to make that possible for even more people and families. As part of this commitment, we also focus on educating the public about service dogs and the many benefits they can provide to people living with disabilities. By doing so, we hope to create a more positive and understanding world for both service dogs and their owners to thrive.
